The owners of this newly constructed home aimed at having a family friendly garden with modern finishes. The design entailed retaining walls, water features, fencing, pool and sections of paving.

Retaining walls were used to maximise family area and create depth and dimension to the surrounding gardens. The walls were given a modern finish with a Natural Sandstone cladding. Sections of timber walls were used to break up and contrast the stone finish.

The entertaining area also used a Natural Stone paver that continued into the pool surround creating one large area opposed to the two smaller rooms.

The pool area incorporated a Slate Stack water feature which flowed directly into the pool.

This united the Stone work theme of the structures in the yard and the Tropical design of the garden beds which featured broad leaved, strong coloured rainforest plants.

The outcome has been a modern backyard with many features to draw the eye, that allows room for a game of soccer and a swim race keeping all the family happy.
